Orra June King, age 89 of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Evergreen Manor. She was born June 4, 1923 in Three Rivers, Michigan the daughter of Irvin and Clara (Morse) Youngman. Mrs. King moved to Battle Creek in 1941 and worked at the Kellogg Company for 30 years in Quality Control retiring on August 25, 1980. She was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. On January 25, 1941 she was married to Clarence A. King in Three Rivers and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Adam and Morse Youngman; two sisters: Elva Thornburgh and Lorene Youngman, and granddaughter Shannon McClintock. Surviving are three daughters: Roxana (Robert) Willis, Joan (“Buzz”) McNally and Susan McClintock; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. David P. Mackaluso of Wakeshma Community Church officiating. A private interment will be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
