Olga "Angie Budas

Olga M. “Angie” Budas, Age 87, Of Battle Creek, Passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Angie was born on November 14, 1926, in Lynch, Kentucky, the daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Lazich) Angelich. She had been an area resident since 1944. Angie was a graduate of Bellevue High School in 1944 and attended the Community Hospital School of Nursing graduating as a Registered Nurse. She was employed with Dr’s. Stadle and Bodine, Dr. Bertram Zheutlin and at Community Hospital where she retired in 1988 as the Director of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review. On June 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to John M. Budas at the First Congregational Church; he preceded her in death on July 22, 2012. Surviving is a daughter, Kathleen of San Francisco and sons, Michael J. (Kay) Budas of Kalamazoo and Robert P. (Rhonda) Budas of Sudbury, MA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Andrew Bremer of Indianapolis, IN, Lauren Budas of Kalamazoo, Benjamin Budas and Emmy Budas of Sudbury, MA; sisters, Helen Wiegand of Warren, MI and Margaret Lewko of Farmington Hills, MI;many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the funeral home with The Rev. Thomas J. Ott of the First Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
