Norman R. Vary, Age 63, Of Battle Creek, Died Sunday, July 23, 2017. Norman was born on December 18, 1953, in Battle Creek, the son of John A. and Dorothy L. (Ifer) Vary. He had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended Battle Creek Central High School. Norman was employed by Lakeview school in the maintenance department and retired after 35 years of service. He continued to work for the school after his retirement. He enjoyed going to Ludington, watching NASCAR and all types of sports. Surviving are sons, Brad R. and Chad S. Vary; granddaughters, Kennsingten and Londyn; his mother, Dorothy L. Vary; brothers, Bruce and Lonnie Vary; sisters, Brenda K. (Mike) Chapman and Judith L. Vinton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John A. Vary. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday July 28, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
