Norma Vaden

Norma Jean (Kopf) Vaden, 86, of Battle Creek, MI passed away January 2, 2022.

Norma was born in Birmingham, MI and was a long-time resident of Southfield until moving to Battle Creek in 1976. Norma married H. Carl Vaden and they have made Battle Creek their home since that time.

Norma is survived by her husband, Carl Vaden, daughter Kim Kopf (Deb) of Battle Creek, Patti Kopf Hayward (Scotty) West Bloomfield, and daughter-in-law, Pat Kopf of Traverse City and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stepchildren, Cliff Vaden (Dinah) of Battle Creek, and Kevin Vaden (Marcia) of Plainwell. Norma is also survived by her sister Carolyn Cantele and her daughter Maria of Rockford, IL.

Norma enjoyed quilting with her long-time friend, JoAnn Vaden. Norma also enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching her kids bowl, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Norma, Carl and family had many cherished times in Lewiston, MI with in-laws, JoAnn and Frank Vaden and their three children, Jeff, Debbie, and Greg.

Norma will now be joining her beloved son Randy Kopf, whom she lost in June 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Norman Currin, brothers-in-law, John Cantele and Frank Vaden.

The family would like to thank Marion Burch/Calhoun County Medical Care Facility for their loving care of Norma the last four years.
