Norma L. Naas, age 90 of Flushing, Michigan, formerly of Battle Creek, died Monday, October 21, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Norma was born May 23, 1929 in Eldorado, Illinois to Albert and Abigail (Evans) Goodley. She married Philip E. Naas on June 12, 1947 in Eldorado and they moved to Battle Creek in 1951. Norma had been employed as an operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company and retired from Sears after many years. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic church in Flushing and St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society and was a member of the choir for many years. She is survived by her daughter Marcia G. Naas of Flushing; sons: Rev. Fr. Stephen E. Naas of Kalamazoo, Eric P. (Katie Schulte) Naas of Wilmington, SC and Mark E. Naas, Sr. of East Leroy; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brother Bernard J. (Diane) Goodley of Eldorado, IL and friend Karen Stermer. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Philip, son Philip David Naas, sisters: Edna Mae Goodley and Mary Alice Thorne; and brothers: William and Charles A. Goodley. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
