Norma "Mimi" Barker, age 90 of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her home. She was born January 6, 1928 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Constantine and Elizabeth Jane (Lacey) Bouzan. Mrs. Barker was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and was the owner/president of Barker Manufacturing, a position she has held since 1968. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed dancing, traveling the world, a close relationship with Barker employees and most cherished of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters: Martha (Craig) Purvis and Sally (Rick) Hunt both of Battle Creek; five grandchildren: Robert (Tia) McMillan, Lacey McMillan, Nathan (Amber) Hunt, Emily (Ryan) Frost and Allison (Matthew) Williams; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sister Connie Snyder. She was preceded in death by her husband James Martin Barker, son Ralph Barker, daughter in law Melania Barker and brother Ralph Bouzan. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
