Nina Ainslie

September 22, 1947 — December 4, 2018

Passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. She was born in Albion, MI, on September 22, 1947, the daughter of Leo Wells Camburn and Hazel Louise (Moog) Camburn. Nina was raised on the Camburn Centennial Farm in Homer, Michigan. Nina graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Health Education. Nina was a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse, providing care to medical and surgical patients for 34 years. She found personal and professional satisfaction in helping patients and their families through difficult times. Nina earned her CRNI, and became a Certified Registered Nurse Infusionist, which she particularly enjoyed. Nina was a devoted gardener, transforming her back yard into a well-manicured, colorful, retreat. She was an avid reader and skillful at knitting and crochet. She loved spending time with her 3 grandsons and her Schnauzer, “Susie”. Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ainslie and her sister, Karen Straw. She is survived by brothers, William Camburn and sister-in-law, Shirley, and Daniel Camburn and sister-in-law, Sandra; sisters, Janice Curry and Lynn Hoover; son, Michael L. Crockatt and grandson, Cayden Crockatt; daughter, Julie M. Marcus, son-in-law, Jeffrey Marcus and grandsons, Matthew Marcus and Jacob Marcus;  stepchildren, Joanne Cornell, Phillip Ainslie, Lia Miller and step son-in-law, Vince Miller. Nina was warm, kind and thoughtful and will be missed by many. She wanted to thank Mermaids for their support during her illness and cousin Peggy Wheeler for her friendship and ongoing care. Visitation will be held Friday, December 7, 2018, from 2 to 6:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
