Nichelle Cranford

Nichelle K. Cranford, 36 of Battle Creek and formerly of Coldwater, Michigan, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011. Nichelle was born November 7, 1974 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Thomas Carl and Kathleen Ann (Reed) Klaiss. She was a 1993 graduate of Coldwater High School and later in 2001 received an Associate’s Degree in Medical Lab Technologies from Kellogg Community College. Nichelle enjoyed camping and playing softball, but  most of all loved to spend time with her children. She is survived by her husband: Stephen Eddy Cranford; three children: Zakary Boyce, Chelsea and Cameron Cranford all of Battle Creek; sister: Stephanie (Karl) Schmidt of Battle Creek; brother: Tom (Shawna) Klaiss of Union City and her father: Thomas C. Klaiss of Bronson. Nichelle was preceded in death by her mother. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Lakeview Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to an Educational Fund for her children c/o Independent Bank.
