Nellie Louise Dilliner, age 84, of Battle Creek, passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She was born May 30, 1930 in Charlotte, Michigan the daughter of Daniel and Helena Ward. Nellie moved to Battle Creek at a young age and graduated from the Seventh Day Adventist Academy in 1948. She worked at B & R Letter Shop as a secretary for 17 years prior to her retirement and attended both First Wesleyan Church and Friends Church. She loved to cook and bake for her family. One of Nellie's favorite life passions was to travel; she has been to several countries including every state in the union except Alaska. On July 31, 1954 she was married to Robert T. Dilliner in Angola, Indiana who survives. Also surviving are two twin sons: Tim (Alana) Dilliner of Battle Creek and Tom (Stephanie) Dilliner of Valley Springs, CA; five grandchildren; sister: Lenora “Jane” Case of Battle Creek; step-brother: Dale Ward of Mason; and step-sister: Jain (Wayne) Smith of Colorado. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Glenn and Orrin Ward and step-brother: Larry Ward. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Hadlich officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
