Nancy Mccreedy

Nancy Kay (Pobanz) McCreedy, age 64, of Battle Creek, and formerly of Elkton, MI.  passed away peacefully on April 29, 2020 with her family at her side.  She was born on November 8, 1955 in Bay City, MI., to the late Orlin and Helen (DeBeaux) Pobanz.  Nancy worked numerous jobs over the years, learning new skills at each job.  She always wanted to better herself and returned to college, twenty years after graduating from Owen-Gage Area School,  she earned her degree in accounting with numerous awards and graduated with honors.  She had a strong work ethics and the patience of a saint.  Her final job was at Rick’s AMT, LLC working as a bookkeeper, she loved the challenge and fast pace there.  She truly felt appreciated and worked as long as she could until the COPD made it impossible to work anymore.  She was an inspiration to many and will be missed.  Nancy is survived by her children; Melissa McCreedy of Elkton and Stacy (Lucas) Gross of Battle Creek.  Three precious grandchildren, Logan and Freya McCreedy, and Kira Gross.  Her long time special friend; Mark Woolford of Caseville.  One brother, Larry Pobanz of Sebewaing, and her beloved cat Snickers.  Nancy never liked being the center of attention, so per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.  Memorial contributions may be offered to the family to use at their discretion or to the Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton, MI.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org Arrangements by the Richard A.
