Nancy J. (Davis) Marciano, 78, of Battle Creek passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at Battle Creek Health System. Nancy was born on December 20, 1932, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Howard L. and Magdelena (McIntyre) Davis.
She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central in 1951. She then attended the Bronson School of Nursing receiving her nursing degree. She was employed as a registered nurse at Leila Hospital, the Federal Center, Lakeview General Hospital for 20 plus years then at the VA Medical Center until her retirement. Nancy was a member of the Bronson School of Nursing Alumni Association and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. She enjoyed watching her grandsons sporting events and was a U of M and Lions fan. Nancy was a two time recipient of the Pride of Springfield Award for her beautiful summer flowers. Surviving are daughters, Mary (Doug) Garrett and Amy (Ron) Ratliff of Battle Creek, grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, and Patrick Garrett, Ryan and Adam Ratliff. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Lauren Ratliff.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 1pm to 3 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
