Myrtle J. Niblack, Age 89, Of Battle Creek, Died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Care Community in Battle Creek. Myrtle was born on April 30, 1923, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Spalding. She had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended Southwestern Junior High in Battle Creek. She was united in marriage to Raymond Niblack who preceded her in death in 1988. Myrtle was employed at Post for 27 years from 1946 until her retirement in 1972 and was a member of the Post 25 years Club. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, dancing, wintering in Florida and being with her family. Surviving are children, Donna G. Rooker of Battle Creek and Terry Cessna of Florida; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Niblack of Battle Creek; 10 granddaughters and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard L. Niblack in 2008. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery with The Rev. Dr. Robert L. Zuhl officiating.
