Myrtle Edgell

Myrtle Ann Edgell, age 93, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born April 9, 1924 in Hopkins, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (VanHouten) Edgell. She attended Argubright Business College and for over 25 years Ann worked at St. Regis Paper Company retiring in 1988 as a cost analyst. Ann enjoyed her birds and pets, loved crafts and woodworking but the most important thing to her was her family. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church and was involved in all sports, even bowling into her 70’s. Ann is survived by her longtime friend and caregiver Donna Darling, thirteen nieces and nephews and their families, and six adopted nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Jim, Joe and Rex Edgell. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. John Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Leroy Congregational Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church – New Building Fund. www.henryfuneralhome.org
