Myrtle Chandler

Myrtle “Mert” B. Chandler passed into new life on June 3, 2020.  She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan.  After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Nursing, she married Edward M. Chandler.  They moved to Battle Creek, and raised their three daughters; Martha, Christine and Catherine.  Their lives were blessed with nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  With a love for the state of Michigan, she remained in Battle Creek.  Myrtle enjoyed activities such as teaching Sunday school and participating in Bible study fellowship, church boards, Medical Auxiliary (Helping to begin the nursing scholarship program), Junior League and P.E.O.  She loved family and enjoyed skiing trips, time at their Torch Lake cabin, traveling and art.  In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
