Mollie Ann Fales, 80, of Battle Creek passed away Sunday May 6, 2012 at home. She was born on June 19, 1931 in Climax, MI to Ray and Elsie (Brown) Irving. Mollie graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1949. She married Dennis E. Fales in Battle Creek on April 15, 1950, the love of her life. Mollie was employed by International Printing Ink as Assistant Office Manager from 1948 to 1953. Later she worked for the Lakeview Schools as Secretary to the Principal at Riverside Elementary for 21 years, retiring in 1988. She is survived by her husband, Dennis, sons, Ronald (Cynthia) Fales, of Alto, MI; Gary (Marlene) Fales, of Ann Arbor, MI; grandchildren, Kendra (Gail) DeYoung, Chanda (Joseph) Slenk, Ryan Fales, Noah (Stephanie) Wenger, Kevin Fales, Josh Fales, Jessica (Josh) Forbes, and Levi Wenger, her great grandchildren, Madison and Brady DeYoung, Hunter and Brenden DeWindt and Taryn, Lauryn, and Camryn, Slenk, and Malachi Sharp, a brother, Carlyle Irving, of Battle Creek, sister-in-law, Yvonne Schroeder, of Battle Creek, and a brother-in-law, Everett Barclay, of Palmetto, FL. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalma Barclay and a brother and sister-in-law, Elwood and Lorraine (Webb) Irving and a brother-in-law, George Schroeder. Mollie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Cedar Creek Golf Club. She was a past member of Riverside Country Club. Mollie enjoyed golf, knitting, needlepoint, reading, any kind of cards, and being with our fantastic family. Family will receive friends from 5:30pm to 8:30 pm Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday with Rev. Patricia Weatherwax of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Private inurnment will be held Friday at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church or Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice.
