Michael J. “Mike” Komarck, Sr., Age 91, Of Battle Creek, Died Monday, October 28, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. Michael was born on November 10, 1921, in Battle Creek, the son of Felix and Katherine (Hamusic) Komarck, Sr. He had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Philip Catholic Schools. On October 23, 1943, he was united in marriage to his wife of 70 years the former Elizabeth “Betty” Messenger who survives. He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force. He owned and operated Mike’s Barber Shop for 40 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion #298. He enjoyed square dancing with “The Quadrille’s” for several years and landscaping around the house. He is survived by a son, Michael (Cheryl) Komarck, Jr. of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Michael J. and Dennis Komarck and 3 great grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Felix and Frank Komarck and sisters, Mary Hazam and Eva Hosh. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Mark J.
