Michael O. Russell, 69, went to be with the Lord, Saturday April 23, 2011 with his loving family at home. He was born June 12, 1941 in Kalamazoo to Donald T. and Leona B. (Culver) Russell.
Michael was united in marriage to Donna J. Heise on September 6, 1960 in Kalamazoo. He loved and adored her, they just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last year. Michael was employed at Eaton Manufacturing Company in Marshall for 23 years, retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife Donna, sons, Donald O., Michael T., and Pete R. Russell, a daughter, (sister) Colleen L. (Jeff) Crippen, all of Battle Creek, two beautiful granddaughters, Rhianna and Brandi Russell, a brother, William “Bill” (Barbara) Russell, of Marshall, a sister, Jackie (Jerry) Perry, of Battle Creek, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews, and special friends, Ted and Diane and John and Connie. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and a sister.
He was a member of Michigan License Plate Association and Battle Creek Car Club. Michael was an avid Collector of License Plates and Classic Automobiles.
Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Thursday April 28, 2011 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where services will be held 1pm Friday. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.www.henryfuneralhome.org
