Michael Morse

Michael (Mike) Way Morse, age 65, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 31, 1959, to Webster and Frances (Fitzgerald) Morse. He graduated from McDowell Senior High School in Erie, Pennsylvania and studied at Edinboro College. He moved to Michigan in 1984, where he had many memories and visited often growing up.

Mike had many hobbies that extended throughout his life. Whether it was a college game or the NFL, he enjoyed watching football. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially when it came to fishing. He loved making music and “jamming” weekly with his friends. He enjoyed reading anything about history or written by Clive Cussler. He was a diligent worker in the automative industry and took pride in his career. His kids were his true joy in life. He taught them everything he knew whether it was a new sport or finding humor in any situation. He was their biggest fan. Mike was loved by his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children Tanya Morse, Stephanie (Scott) Vincent, Michael (Amanda) Morse II, Matthew (Bianca) Morse, and Megan (Tom) Peurach; his brother Robert Morse; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Susan Morse.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 6, 2024, at North Avenue Church of God. Visitation will start at 10:00 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment will happen later in private for the family.
