Michael R. “Papa” Morduff, Age 64, Of Battle Creek, Died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. Michael was born on July 21, 1949, in Battle Creek, the son of Robert L. and Lucille (Birdsong) Morduff. He had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Lakeview High School. On August 22, 1970, he was united in marriage to the former Rose M. Palmer who survives. He worked for the Kellogg Company in packaging and retired after 22 and a half years of service. Mike was a member of Central Christian Church, past member of the NRA and a federal firearms dealer. In his younger years he was an avid trailer builder and enjoyed boating on Gun Lake. Surviving is a son, Michael R. (Jackie) Morduff II of Battle Creek; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters; a special friend Bud Babcock of Delton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 5:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Gordon Pippin of Central Christian Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
