Michael Danis

Michael W. Danis (Michael D), of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014.  Mike born February 8, 1961 in Battle Creek, was the cherished son of Louis and Alwilda (Vanderbrook) Danis.  In his last years Mike took care of his mother in their home, enjoyed being a grandpa, and drew closer to Jesus.  He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1979 and worked for Marshall Excelsior as head machinist for over 20 years.   Mike was a gifted musician and DJ, and shared his joy of music freely.  His love was evident for his children: Vanessa Danis, Mikayla Danis, Mary Daghuer, and Anthony Cook; two grandchildren: Deshon Newton and Michael Powell; mother Al Danis; sisters: Pat Kelver (Fred Kelver), Mary Dillon (Mark Dillon), Jodi Shawver; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.  Michael is reunited with his father, Louis, and three brothers: Clifford, Louis, and Paul.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 21, 2014 at the Richard A.
