Michael Norrod

Michael Lester Norrod, 53, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2018. He was born July 23, 1965, the son of Harold and Barbara (Campbell) Norrod. Mike attended Pennfield High School and obtained his diploma from Scott County High in Georgetown, Kentucky. After school he enlisted in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Sandra Jean (Newman) Norrod on November 24, 1984. Together they had two daughters. Mike enjoyed a career in Maintenance for many years, and later as a Tool and Die Setter. Mike's hobbies included fishing, NASCAR, The Detroit Lions, Westerns, Michigan State Basketball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mike was an avid animal lover who had many beloved pets. He is survived by his wife Sandra; daughters, Morgan L. (Jake) Smith and Ashley R. Norrod; grandchildren, Gordon, Maisie and Olive Smith; four sisters and two brothers; many nieces and nephews, and many out-of-state relatives. Revelation 21:4.
