Mason Mayo

Mason D. Mayo, age 89, of Battle Creek, passed away on June 27, 2018. He was born on January 24, 1929 in Battle Creek, the son of Howard and Lillian (Mason) Mayo. Mason graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1948. He was formerly employed by the Kellogg Company from which he retired after twenty-five years of service. Mason was a member of the Kellogg 25-year Club, American Legion, and Christ United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, Cribbage and working on his truck. He served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952.

Mason was preceded in death by his wife; Darlene Mayo, parents; Howard and Lillian Mayo, daughters; Shayne Campbell and Sheila Wilson, son; Howard Mayo, sister; Beverly Vanorder, and brother; Milo Mayo. Surviving are a brother; Bill (Elizabeth) Mayo of Arlington, TX., three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with visitation scheduled one hour prior to service.
