Mary "Marlene" Perry age 79, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2017. She was born on November 24, 1937 in Mason City, Washington, the daughter of Muriel and Jessie (Davis) Grenier. Mary came to Battle Creek from Albion, Michigan where she then made her home. She graduated in 1956 from Battle Creek Central High School, and was employed in the budget department at the Battle Creek Federal Center for thirty years before retiring. She was united in marriage on April 13, 1979 in Battle Creek; to Robert E. Perry. Mary was a member of the Eagles Lodge #299. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the piano, reading the Bible, writing in her journal, playing cards, and loved the special times she spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; Muriel and Jessie Grenier, husband; Robert E. Perry in 2012, and a brother; Dean Archer. Mary is survived by her daughters; Tamara (Dan) Case, Teri (Jerry) Zaborski, sons; Tim (Patty) Blankenship, Mike (Jeanny) Heinrich, all of Battle Creek, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place, a service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Eagles Lodge #299, 19757 Capital Avenue, NE, Battle Creek with Dr. William Bell officiating. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Central Michigan, or the Wounded Warriors Project. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
