Mary Lankerd

Mary Jane Lankerd, age 84, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. She was born June 23, 1934 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Clifford and Golda (Kellogg) Pallett. A 1952 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Mary worked at the Kellogg Company from 1966 until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, and enjoyed sports, art and travel. On June 12, 1954 she was married to Larry C. Lankerd who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Tim (Donna) Lankerd of Ann Arbor and Eric (Amanda) Lankerd of Battle Creek; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Jeff Lankerd, her brother Clifford Pallett and her parents. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Cornerstone Community Church, 3030 Beckley Road with visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception to celebrate Mary’s life will follow at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or Cornerstone Community Church.
