Mary E. Kline, age 82, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. She was born March 8, 1934 in Burlington, Michigan the daughter of Albert J. and Eva Mae (Foster) Delaney. A 1952 graduate of Marshall High School, Mary began working at the Wolverine Insurance Company in the mail room and later a clerk/typist. She had also worked for Show and Tell at Meijer and American Greeting Cards, and was the bookkeeper for the family business Trumbull Service. Mary was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, very active in the community and a 26 year volunteer with the Red Cross. Surviving are her children: Michael (Carmen) Kline of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Carrie Powers of Battle Creek; four grandchildren: Douglas (Amanda Ploehn) Powers, Mathew (Cheri) Powers, Stephanie Kline and Stephen Kline; and two great grandchildren: Abagale Powers and Aiden Powers. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Roy Franklin Kline on October 31, 2010, her parents and a brother Albert Delaney. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Metzger officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Richard A.
