Mary Beukelman

Mary Elizabeth Beukelman, age 93, of Battle Creek, died Monday, November 23, 2015. She was born March 15, 1922 in Crystal Falls, Michigan the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Kiley) Denman. A graduate of Augubright Business School, she worked as a secretary at Clark Equipment Company and later the Battle Creek Sanitarium Hospital from which she retired in 1987. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting books and plates. In 1955 she married Earl H. Beukelman who preceded her in death on January 10, 1976. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Elizabeth Cotter Haun and a son Eric Earl Beukelman. Surviving is her son Thomas (Carol) Cotter of Battle Creek; three grandchildren: Marc, Michael and Angella Cotter; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren: Troy Gorham, Tracy Gorham, Teresa Gowing and Tammy Gorham; eight step great-grandchildren; three step great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Richard A.
