Martha E. Livingston, age 88, of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born December 21, 1925 in Danville, Alabama the daughter of Henry and Ora Belle (Roberts) Rogers. She graduated from Danville High School in 1943 and married James C. Livingston on December 21, 1946 prior to moving to Battle Creek. Mrs. Livingston worked at Post Cereal for 10 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and the Sarah Circle; and was a past member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Livingston was preceded in death by her husband on November 17, 1985 and two brothers: John and Lewie Rogers. Surviving are two children: Jim (Christy) Livingston and Sheila Livingston both of Battle Creek; three grandsons: Justin (Melissa) Livingston of Superior, CO, Cody (Katie) Livingston of Kalamazoo and Tanner Livingston of Westminster, CO; four
Great-grandchilden: Nolan, Aiden, Drake and Georgia Livingston; and one sister: Dannie Rogers McCarley of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Parmalee officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. www.henryfuneralhome.org
