It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Marsha Elizabeth Randall, age 73, of Battle Creek, MI, announces her unexpected passing on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Battle Creek on August 14, 1948, the daughter of Lyle Wallace Randall and Phyllis (Marsh) Randall. Marsha graduated in 1966 from Lakeview High School. She was a stay-at-home mother and wife until her children were in middle school. Early in her career, she worked for Sears, Roebuck and Company and Great Lakes Bancorp. She later worked for Omni Family Credit Union, retiring in 2001 after 18 years of dedicated service. Marsha married Michael Charles Hudson on December 19, 1965, and although the relationship ended, the marriage produced two beautiful daughters, whom they raised amicably together over the years. She is survived by her daughters: Renée Michelle Allen (Jeff) and Juli Ann Hudson-Eakins, both of Battle Creek; two brothers: James Randall (Jeanita) of Battle Creek and Alan Randall of Bradenton, FL; three grandchildren: Taylor Hudson of Battle Creek, Gabe Allen of Denver, CO and Jake Allen of Battle Creek; a niece: Heidi Baweja; two nephews: Tony and Nathan Randall; special best friend since eighth grade, Suzanne Elliott; and her adorable, sweet companion and pet kitty, Kaya. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Constance Randall; and son-in-law, Mike Eakins. Marsha had a keen eye for design and loved to decorate. She loved all animals and held a special place in her heart for her kitties. She enjoyed gardening and flowers of all kinds; vacationing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula; the warm summer months; collecting porcelain baby dolls and Christmas villages, as Christmas was her very favorite holiday; and most of all, spending time with her family. Cremation has been conducted and burial of the cremains will be with the family at a later date. A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held in the spring. Memorial tributes may be made to: Humane Society of South Central Michigan. Arrangements by Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. (269) 962-5191 • henryfuneralhome.org.
