Marma "Duke" Begley

Marma “Duke” Begley, age 88, of Battle Creek, passed away on November 23, 2021 at Bronson Battle Creek.  He was born on January 31, 1933 in Bowling Town, KY., the son of Brown and Callie (Deaton) Begley.  Marma graduated from the University of Dayon in 1961.  He proudly served in the United States Airforce from June 1950 until May 1954.  He was employed with the Department of Defense for 40 years.  He was a member of the  Scottish Society of SW Michigan, Institute for Learning in Retirement, Federal Employees Retirement Club and the Senior Tour Club.  Marma enjoyed traveling and doing yard work.  He was united in marriage on July 23, 1955 in Richmond, IN., to Sara M. Begley, she survives.  Also surviving are his children; Duke (Elizabeth) Begley, Dale (Susan) Begley, Deborah (Brian) White, sisters; Betty and  Mabel, grandchildren; Tristin Begley and Grace and Mark White.  In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
