Marion M. Balch

Passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Marion was born on February 1, 1922, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Donald and Gertrude (Caswell) Munger. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1941. She married Harold L. Balch on September 21, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1956. Marion owned and operated Rascal Frenchman Inn. She was also employed at Meijer, Kroger’s and Top Cut meats. She enjoyed playing bingo. Surviving is a daughter, Sally Thayer; a sister, Eva Crannell; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by, a son, Daniel Balch; sisters, Donna Goodson, Juanita, Sass , Marie Fleece and a brother, James Munger. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., July 12, 2024, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
