Marilyn Becoske, age 81 of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday September 10, 2016. She was born October 28, 1934 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Leslie A. and Mary (James) Fisher. She graduated Battle Creek Central High School in 1953 and married Robert Becoske on June 12, 1953 in Olympia, Washington. They lived in Olympia and Honolulu, Hawaii where her husband was stationed in the military before returning to live in Battle Creek. Marilyn was a former tour guide at Post Cereals before doing calligraphy, line drawings and certificates in her home for various businesses and organizations. She was a guide and hostess for many years at the Kimball House Museum, were she did their artwork and drew the “Kimbi” character used on items sold in the gift shop. A three term member of the board of directors for the Historical Society of Battle Creek, her hobbies included genealogy, antiquing and decorating her home. Marilyn is survived by her husband Bob of 63 years, three grandsons, eight great-grandchildren and a sister Beulah Hankey. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Lynn Baird, a brother Les H. Fisher and a great-granddaughter. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Private interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
