Marian Knotts

Marian J. Knotts, age 95 of Bellevue, MI., and formerly of Battle Creek went to be with her Lord on October 14, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 21, 1926 in Manton, MI., the daughter of Orley and Viola (Gallihugh) Walling.  Marian graduated from Lake City High School in 1944, then went on to receive her nursing degree from Kellogg Community College.  She previously resided in Bedford and Battle Creek, and later made her home in Bellevue for the last three years.  She was previously employed as an inspector by the Kellogg Company and as a registered nurse for Community Hospital where she retired from.  She was a member of Battle Creek Friends Church, where she was active as a musician, Sunday school teacher, greeter, and usher.  Marian was a talented singer and musician.  She had her own radio show on Saturdays at the local radio station in Coldwater, Michigan and appeared as a guest on the Green Valley Jamboree TV Show.  She was united in marriage to Harry Coburn Iglehart, he preceded her in death in 1984.  Also preceding her in death are her parents, daughter; Lyndia Carr, four brothers and three sisters.  Surviving are her daughters; Ruth (Keith) R. Haley Jr. of Bellevue, Jill Ward of Marshall, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Battle Creek Friends Church, with a private interment to take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Battle Creek Friends Church or Centrica Care Navigators.  Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
