Marian L. Moles Hocott, age 95, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at her home. She was born October 24, 1918 in Marion County, Kentucky the daughter of William Millard and Ruby Lee (Deering) Langford. A 1937 graduate of Battle Creek High School, she had worked at Jacobsons and CutRate Supermarket as a bookkeeper and attended Birchwood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill Moles on December 22, 1992; second husband, Leroy Hocott in 1999; granddaughter, Cathy Hanke; son-in-law, Keith Hewitt; two sisters: Virginia Pugh and Esther Matheson; and two brothers: Paul and Joseph Langford. She is survived by two children: Joanne Hewitt of Battle Creek and Robert (Betty) Moles of Jackson; two step-sons: Donald and Frank Hocott; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Kintigh officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army or Birchwood United Methodist Church. www.henryfuneralhome.org
