Margery (Margie) Ann Lewis, 87, passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2020, at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, in Battle Creek, Michigan She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Battle Creek, Mich. to Edwin and Helen Hickman. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1949. Margery worked in the payroll department at the Kellogg Company where she retired from after 25 years. She was also a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Margie was very sweet with a huge heart. She was genuinely kind to everyone she met. She enjoyed bowling and playing golf with her dear friends, Gert Hickman and Nancee Ludwick. She also had a passion for making porcelain dolls which she shared with many of her friends and family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed the family gatherings that brought everyone together. But most of all she loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She was very proud of them and loved them dearly. Granny will be greatly missed. Always a mom, always a friend, and always loved and appreciated. Margie is survived by her four children, daughters; Janet Lewis and Debra Stauffer (Brad Kast) both of Battle Creek, and sons; Robert Lewis and Ronald Lewis. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren which she adored, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard Hickman and Larry Hickman; her sister, Jacquiline Nay; and her cherished son Charles E. Lewis. The family would like to thank all the caregivers that took special care of our mother through this long journey. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been made with Richard A. Henry Funeral Home for Cremation. A graveside service and memorial luncheon will be held at a later date.
