Margaret Roe

Margaret Grace Roe, age 87 of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. She was born November 24, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of Otto and Myrtle (Miller) Lewis. Mrs. Roe was a 1942 graduate of Athens High School and lived in the Athens area until moving to Battle Creek in 2002. On December 7, 1942 she married Kenneth J. Roe who preceded her in death on May 25, 2012. She was a member of Wakeshma Community Church where she was involved as Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer and Teacher; served on the church board and was a member of the Ladies Missionary group. Surviving are two daughters: Carol (Robert) Milliken of Marshall, Michigan and Sandy (Doug) Miller of Green Bay, Wisconsin; five grandchildren: Chad Miller, Mark (Jaime) Miller, Andrew Miller, Michelle (Eric) Wiser and Kristin (Carlos) Parreno; and five great-grandchildren. A private graveside service was held in North Fulton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Wakeshma Community Church.
