Margaret Price

Margaret M. Price, age 91 of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at The Laurels of Bedford. She was born October 1, 1921 in Bellevue, Michigan the daughter of Bernard and Zelma (Pierce) Lennon. Mrs. Price was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had worked at the Federal Center for twenty years before retiring in 1982. For many years, she and her husband wintered in Bradenton, Florida. They enjoyed it so much that they moved there and eventually returned to Battle Creek in 2008. She also enjoyed traveling, square dancing, bowling and golf. On June 1, 1946 she was married to Frank F. Price at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bellevue and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2010. Mrs. Price was also preceded in death by her daughter: Kathlyn Smith, grandson: Brian Price, brother: Wayne Lennon and sister: Doris Samulak. She is survived by six children: Robert (Cinda) Price, Mary (Stan) Hoxie, Tom (Mary) Price, Donald (Linda) Price, Carol (Jim) Biggs and Dennis Price; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Bernice (Jack) Woods. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Great Lakes Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
