Marcia Young

Marcia G. Young, 49, of Battle Creek passed away Friday October 28, 2011 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on March 17, 1962 in Battle Creek to Rex and Jane (Porter) Young. Marcia graduated from Lakeview High School in 1980. She was employed at the Federal Center for 25 years as a Program Analyst Lead.  Marcia is survived by her mother, Jane Young,  a sister, Jan (Dennis) Siddall, nieces, Shannon (Tim) Rizor, and Jennifer (Scott) Kuhn, great nephews, Preston, Trent, and Justin Rizor, and Noah and Josiah Kuhn, great nieces, Jane and Abby Kuhn. She was preceded in death by her father Rex Young. Marcia was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she was active in the nursery and answered the call for any special help. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and their families, and her many friends. Marcia was a donor to the Gift of Life. Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Monday Oct. 31, 2011 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Metzger officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Lakeview Baptist Church.
