Manuel Perez, Jr.

Manuel Robert Perez, Jr., age 35 of Battle Creek, died Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born May 13, 1987, in Barstow, California the son of Manuel Robert and Laurie Leticia (Minjares) Perez. Manuel was a 2007 graduate of San Andreas High School, moved to Battle Creek in 2019 and was currently working at Systex Products Corporation. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping others, especially with gardening. Manuel definitely had a “green thumb”. He is survived by his mother Laurie Perez of Battle Creek; two stepdaughters: Evangelina and Mya; six brothers and sisters: Michelle Vargas, Carlos Mendoza, Jesus Alvarez, Denise Perez, Adria Perez and Joshua Perez; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Michael Vargas and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, 13840 South Helmer Road, Battle Creek with Rev. Roy Henry officiating.
