Mable Mitchell

Mable R. Mitchell, age 97, of Battle Creek passed away on December 25, 2017 at the Caretel Inn of Lakeland in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was born on November 19, 1920 in Port Clinton, Ohio, the daughter of Junious and Eola (Ellithorpe) Kline. Mable was united in marriage to Leon D. Mitchell on September 1, 1945 in Battle Creek. She was employed by the Eaton Manufacturing Company as an inspector from 1942 to 1977. Mable enjoyed fishing, crocheting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband; Leon D. Mitchell in 2010, brothers; Earnest, Eugene, Junious Jr., sisters; Alberta and Millicent. Mable is survived by a daughter; Gail (Robert) Ulrich of Kettering, Ohio, son; Dennis (Nancy) Mitchell of Benton Harbor, Michigan, brother; Leavett Kline of Athens, Michigan, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Committal services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Derek Mitchell officiating.
