Mabel Louise (Pearce) Hickman, age 90, of Battle Creek, entered Heaven on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. She was currently a resident at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Mabel was born December 25, 1923 to William and Minerva (Kees) Pearce. She had resided in Florida until her retirement at which time she moved back to Michigan. While in Florida she and her husband, Marvin owned the Shell Service Station in Venice. Mabel enjoyed traveling with her husband and many friends, was an avid painter and talented in doing various crafts, and loved to sing the old hymns of the church. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Hickman; son Jerry Hickman; daughter Beverly Miller and granddaughter Vickie Glover. She is survived by her daughter: Patti (Tom) Buys; two granddaughters: Margot (Mark) Bensinger and Mindi (Steven) Hommerding; two grandsons: Mikel (Marie) Miller and Victor (Misty) Miller; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Chapel at the Oak Hill Cemetery, 255 South Avenue with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be given to First Assembly of God Kidz First and Youth Programs or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements by the Richard A.
