Lyle Dale Kilpatrick, 91, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Battle Creek died Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Lyle was born in Battle Creek on April 27, 1921 to Glen and Eva (Cross) Kilpatrick. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Adeline Caroline Elivia Tabbert January 25, 1946, she survives. Lyle and his wife traveled back and forth to Florida for many years, until they move there permanently. Lyle was a Battle Creek City Fireman for 25 years and a carpenter for Community Hospital for 15 years. He also was a contractor and built several houses in the Battle Creek area. Lyle was an active member of Zephyrhills Elks, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Surviving are, his wife, Adeline, a daughter, Linda (William) Wellivere, twin granddaughters, Shannon and Stacy Wellivere, a son, Kenneth (Judy) Kilpatrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother and sister. Lyle enjoyed dancing and music, working on the carpentry projects in his shed, old cowboy movies and spending time with his family.A graveside service will held be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Fort Custer National Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be given to Hernando Pasco Hospice in Dade City, FL.
