Luella Mae Williams, age 84, of Battle Creek, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born February 14, 1929 in Indiana, Pennsylvania the daughter of Leonard and Cora (Barnett) Pittman. Luella was a 1948 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and worked at the Kellogg Company from 1961 until her retirement in 1988. She was a faithful member of the First Church of The Nazarene. On January 20, 1949 she was united in marriage to Charley F. Williams who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Thurman (Gloria) Williams of Banfield, Douglas (Helen) Williams of Battle Creek and David (Susan) Williams of Battle Creek; nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Luella was preceded in death by two grandsons and two brothers. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Church of The Nazarene, 12866 Beadle Lake Road with Rev. Jim Spohn officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Church of The Nazarene.
