Louise Kennedy

Louise L. Kennedy, age 96, of Muskegon, formerly of Battle Creek, died Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was born June 21, 1917 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Wesley and Bessie (Wood) Reimer. Mrs. Kennedy graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, attended the First Congregational Church and was a member of the Sarah Circle at the church. In October of 1940 she was married to Joseph Kennedy who preceded her in death on September 9, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her foster sister: Lois Borgman. Surviving are two children: Jean Garinchaud of Phoenix, AZ and Phil (Patricia) Kennedy of Muskegon, MI; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her special caregiver: Lorrie Rathbun. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Schlee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
