Louetta (France) Bolton, age 83, of Battle Creek, was called to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday November 5, 2016 with her husband, James, by her side. She was born on September 24, 1933 in Crawford, Tennessee the daughter of Asa Wade and Mary Jane (Verble) France. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Meekle (France) Watson, Geneva (France) Wheeler, Verble France, AnnaDell (France) Foster, Clarence France, Benton France, Pauline (France) Phillips, and Dennis France. She will be dearly missed by her husband, James Bolton; children, Owen (Pat) Bolton, Mike (Vicky) Bolton, and Cindy (Tad) Tunnecliffe; grandchildren, Ryan (Miranda) Bolton, Nathan (Jamie) Bolton, Casey Bolton, Sam Bolton, Caitlyn Tunnecliffe, and Bryan Tunnecliffe; great-grandchildren, Natalee Bolton, Payton Bolton, Kaiden Bolton, and Conner Bolton. She moved with her family to Nashville, Michigan in 1947. On May 20, 1952 she married the love of her life, James L. Bolton, in Battle Creek, Michigan. They spent 64 years of wonderful marriage together. She worked at Kroger Co. from 1957-1982. After they closed their doors, she worked at EPI from 1983-1988. She spent the remainder of her working career acting as a caregiver for the elderly. Lou was a craftsman. She showered her friends and family with a wide assortment of her magnificent creations; from ceramic balloons to hand-sewn quilts. She had a giving soul. Lou enjoyed strolling through the local shops looking for that perfect something for that perfect someone. She enjoyed traveling to different locales in the United States with her beloved husband, James. She also absolutely adored anything and everything pink. She was a member of the Battle Creek Bible Church for 43 years and most recently attended Marshall Family Bible Church. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, 703 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, Michigan 49015. A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
