Loomis Wirt

Loomis Jackson Wirt, age 86 of Battle Creek, formerly of Vinton, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was born September 1, 1931 in Roanoke, Virginia the son of Ellett and Madie (Cromer) Wirt. He was baptized at the Vinton Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Jack had worked at General Electric in Virginia from which he retired and enjoyed playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Clara Jane Wirt, step-son Richard Meador and brother Herber Wirt. He is survived by his granddaughter Kelly Aggers; three great-grandchildren: Carlito, Monique and Zack Aggers; sister Darlene Garrett; brother Doug Wirt and several nieces and nephews.
