Lois M. Seedorff, 81 of Burlington, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born November 15, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of William and June (Hicks) Hartman and was a 1947 graduate of Toledo Libby High School. On April 16, 1955 she was married to Elmer F. Seedorff in Toledo and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2006. Lois worked at the Kellogg Company for many years, was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, enjoyed gardening, knitting and camping, but most of all loved spending time with her family. Surviving are two children: Mike (Teri) Seedorff and Pam (Barry) Smith; eight grandchildren: Shaina Keller, Alisha (Floyd) Hantz, Kody (Emily) Keller, Luke and Madison Seedorff, Holly, Andrew and Evan Smith; three great-grandchildren: Jalen and Ariana Flemons and Audrey Hantz all of the Battle Creek area; and one brother: William (Virginia) Hartman of Maumee, OH with whom she enjoyed many days sailing on the Maumee River. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Newton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Binder Park Zoo or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
