Linden Skidmore

Linden Allen Skidmore, age 78, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Oaks at Northpointe Woods following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born November 16, 1937 in Hastings, Michigan the son of Arthur and Marie (Merrill) Skidmore and was a 1956 graduate of Hastings High School. He went on to work at the Kellogg Company for 34 years, retiring in 1993. On December 12, 1975 he was married to Gloria Jean (McGurer), who survives. Also surviving are four children: Jay Skidmore, Charles Kelly, Vicky Weichlein and Sandy Olney; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lavern Skidmore and a step-son Cory Kelly. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Battle Creek Friends Church, 1305 Olive Street with visitation one hour prior to the service.
