Linda Selbee

Linda  L.  Selbee, Age 59, Of Climax, MI, Died Monday, January 12, 2015, with her family by her side. Linda was born on August 18, 1955, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Lyle L. and Margaret L (Owens) Pierce. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Athens High School in 1973. On June 9, 1973, she was united in marriage to Gary L. Selbee, Sr., who survives. Linda was employed with Trans America Insurance as a sales force trainer and assistant to the vice- president. She then worked for Springfield Plumbing for 8 years. She enjoyed being with her family, scrapbooking, bowling, gardening and softball. Surviving are children, Shannon (Matt) Vander Yacht and Gary (Jennifer) Selbee, Jr.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Corliss, Maggie Corliss, Lauren Selbee, Desirae Martin, Destinee Martin, Emily Selbee and Jackson Selbee; step-mother, Joy Pierce and step-brothers, Ron and Dennis Allen. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Pierce and her mother, Margaret Pierce. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the funeral home with The Rev. Glenn C. Litchfield officiating. Interment will be at Leroy Congregational Cemetery.
