Linda Charlene Mullen, 63 of Battle Creek, went home to be with her Lord following a lengthy illness on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Bronson Battle Creek, surrounded by her family. She was born September 26, 1948 in Dayton, Tennessee the daughter of Charles Ernest and Evelyn Frances (Kelley) Clark. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Harper Creek High School and the Battle Creek School of Cosmetology. She worked at several salons in the area, and was also a gifted and talented, designer and decorator. Linda was known as an artisan in the area and owned the Country Peddler Antique Shop. She was a member of Sonoma United Methodist Church. On June 19, 1966 she was married to Thomas E. Mullen, who survives. Also surviving are two children: Kim (Rob Sparks) Schroder of East Leroy and Kelley (Scott) Parish of Battle Creek; three grandchildren: Scottlyn and Thomas Schroder, and Allen Parish; three step-grandchildren: Dezirae, Darien and DeAhndra Parish; mother: Evelyn Clark of North Pointe Woods, Battle Creek; sister: Sandra Bush of Dandridge, TN and brother: Lieutenant Colonel Charles E. Clark of Bellevue. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Clark. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.
