Linda Jones

Linda D. Jones, age 59, of Battle Creek, passed away on July 25, 2018. She was born on August 29, 1958 in Oceanside, CA., the daughter of Lester and Dolly (Whitman) Lopshire. Linda was a homemaker and lifelong area resident. She was previously a den mother for the Cub Scouts and worked on the playground and in the kitchen at Urbandale Elementary School. She enjoyed knitting & crocheting, trips to Binder park Zoo and spending time with her family and faithful companion “Peanut”. She was united in marriage on October 20, 1984 to Larry Jones, he survives. Also surviving are a son; Brett Jones of Battle Creek, parents; Lester and Dolly Lopshire of Battle Creek, sister; Cheryl Kreps of Battle Creek, brother; Lester Lopshire of Battle Creek, and her mother-in-law; Barbara Butler of Battle Creek, sisters-in-law; Robin Damron of Battle Creek and Sheila (Troy) Putt of Kalamazoo. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the funeral home, Rev. Carolyn A. Robinson-Fisher officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Binder park Zoo.
